We're bummed that Better Call Saul won't be returning until Fall 2018. (According to Screenrant, AMC didn't renew Better Call Saul until June 2017, so production was delayed.) What's a fan to do?
We rewatched some of our favorite episodes from previous seasons to fill the void, and couldn't get "Cobbler" (Season 2, Episode 2) out of our heads. It's a notable moment in Jimmy's transformation to Saul Goodman. Specifically, the interrogation scene in which Jimmy concocts an absurd explanation for his client's odd behavior:
For us, it wasn't so much the lie that signified the metamorphosis. Rather, the disappointed reaction from Kim in the final scene accentuated how unethical this was, even for a guy known as "Slippin' Jimmy."
In the end, the Squat Cobbler tale was funny and inventive. Our original design steers clear of any explicitly graphic details and instead went with an ABQ/Route 66 diner look. It's printed in two colors on soft cotton. Check it out in the shop.
Better Call Saul Seasons 1-3 are now streaming on Netflix.
